With 20 Japanese Banks, KCP launched "Consortium for business development in overseas"

We are pleased to announce the establishment of "Consortium for Promotion of Overseas Expansion of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises" with Japanese regional banks, second regional banks, and credit unions. The purpose of this consortium is to promote the overseas expansion of small and medium-sized enterprises in Japan, and to expand and strengthen the overseas expansion support system.

Kusumoto Chavalit & Partners Ltd. (KCP) is pleased to announce that KCP has established 'Consortium for Promotion of Overseas Expansion of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises' targeting regional banks and credit unions. The purpose of it is encourage those domestic Japanese Small and Medium-sized enterprise to expand their business to overseas countries, and to enrich the support system of overseas expansion.

1. Purpose of establishment

As Japanese companies face a shrinking domestic market and a declining working population due to the declining birthrate and aging population, there is an increasing need to find new ways to do business in overseas markets. In particular, in the overseas business of small and medium-sized enterprises with limited management resources (people, asset, money, information), business development based on M & A and joint ventures with local partners is important and indispensable. Currently, we have established a support system centered on regional banks and credit unions to support the overseas expansion of these small and medium-sized enterprises and the expansion of local sales channels. In order to further promote the overseas expansion of Japanese SMEs, it is necessary to further strengthen and raise the level of the support system through cooperation and knowledge sharing among support organizations.

Therefore, the "Consortium for Promotion of Overseas Expansion of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises" is targeted at regional banks, second regional banks, and credit unions, which regularly serve as a contact point for overseas expansion of small and medium-sized enterprises and support business expansion from various directions has been established.
